                FEB 13 VALENTINE SOCIAL

What a great day we all had, skiing and topping it off with a special social!

Roger & Ruthie decorated buckets to be placed at the lifts, both top and Bottom. At the social, Roger had us playing a game which involved interacting with others & getting to know each other a little better. Great prizes for the winners!  click for photos

     

  

LUNCHES  Our first lunch was on January 16th serving 187 prime timers! Gabe made a delicious taco salad with all the trimmings, homemade salsa and our favorite brownies for dessert.

  Our next lunch is Wednesday, Feb 20. Gabe is serving chicken pot pie topped with a biscuit. RSVP closed on Feb 13, but you can still get on the wait list. I will let you now right away if your RSVP is confirmed. There’s a good chance you will be served based on cancellations.

    VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PLEASE

Debbie and Jim do a great job! They plan, purchase & serve the snacks, wine & beer. They ensure they get everything to the mountain so we can have a good time every Wednesday. Let’s give them a break! The sign up board is at the entrance to social or email mtspokaneprimetimers@gmil.com. Please let them know if you can take money or serve the snacks. It will all be there for you, all that is needed is to man the stations for one hour at social.  It can be fun!!! 

Enhanced Snacks and Premium Beer

Debbie and Jim also go above and beyond serving special appetizers on occasion. Nachos are a fav! Cheese, Crackers, veggies and Sausage, some of which Jim has made, are wonderful! While we all love enhanced snacks, they are prepared by Debbie and Jim and many times a gift from them.  Please know that at our current door collection is based on Kokanee beer (not premium) and our standard fare of club snacks – popcorn, snack mix and M & Ms. 

Our team agreed not to raise the cost of the social from its current $7 ($3 for soft drinks) and snacks. What a bargain!  Our goal is to break even on the bar tab. So far, so good! The Premium beer is $6 more a pitcher than plain Jane stuff. Please keep premium beer donations coming. Collection box is on the snack table near the beer pitchers. This will also help offset the cost of some of the enhanced appetizers provided.

49 Degrees North 3rd annual Prime Timer event! We will start on Monday, March 4th at 9 a.m. when lifts begin operating. At 2 p.m. we will host an appetizer hour for $2 per person in the Boom Town bar. Happy hour bar discounts will start at 1:30 p.m.
 

On Tuesday, March 5th, we will be hosting a lunch in the Boom Town Bar starting at 12:30pm. Lunch will be $8 per person and includes a sandwich, salad and soup bar. Bar discounts will start at noon. During lunch, we will have a drawing for some fabulous gifts so be sure to stick around for that.
 

Lift tickets will be half price for each day. If you are in need of lodging accommodations you can visit our website at www.ski49n.com for a list of hotels in the Chewelah area. 2019-20 Season Passes and Prime Timer Passes will be for sale as well, see more on our website.
 

Please RSVP to  marketing@ski49n.com  or by calling 509-935-6649 x607 no later than Monday, February 25th. Please let us know if you plan to have lunch with us on Tuesday so we can give our chef a head count.
